04/Unpacking Services
Moving home is always a busy and, very often, a stressful time for all involved. Nothing is more frustrating than having had your possessions completely packed at the property you are leaving, than arriving at your new home to be confronted by rooms full of packing cases, often with little idea of what is in each. This element of your relocation can be somewhat complicated by lack of time off work, having children to settle in as a priority, or needing to have your new home completely ready for guests in a short amount of time. In short it can be exhausting.
Our unpacking services include:
- Wiping off shelves and surfaces – a full cleaning service can be arranged on your behalf if required.
- Unpacking all containers and boxes.
- Unwrapping and putting all items away as per your instructions.
- Organising all rooms in the house, which can include unpacking clothing into wardrobes and drawers, and making all beds if needed.
- Setting up of other items, for example hanging curtains or readying the fire to light.
- Removal of all packing material.
To begin, we will arrange a visit in your current home if possible, to assess your needs and what you are looking for. This can also be done remotely if a visit isn’t viable, and well in advance of your move. All Things House will then compile photos and take notes in order to understand how and in which rooms you would like possessions to be placed in your new home.
Unpacking usually takes anywhere between one and three days depending on the size of your new home and amount of possessions. During unpacking, if you are not present, we will contact you with any questions and queries to ensure everything is placed where you would want it. So you can rest assured in the knowledge that when you arrive at your home everything is ready and waiting to be enjoyed!
